The position will be responsible for incoming quality sampling of virgin SiC, PEG, recycled slurry and monitoring in-process quality of Metallkraft at their site. The incumbent will be responsible to track and document all records pertaining to the manufacture of slurry and follow through on MRB for final disposition. Position is required to maintain the filing system assuring all documents are properly filed and be readily retrievable.

Position is also required to oversee the housekeeping of lab equipment.

Job description

• Sampling of raw materials for slurry for conformance to spec.
• Publish data accordingly and manage the MRB process for disposition and final closure.
• Work with the relevant personnel on any spec clarification, disposition and priorities
• Support engineers on evaluation of materials and data gathering.

Qualifications

• Diploma, chemistry
• Self driven, able to demonstrate initiatives. Someone with 3 years working experience in laboratory analytical work would be an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Education level

• Academy college / Technical qualification

Personal qualities

• Good interpersonal skills, communication both written and verbal.
• Physically mobile.
