They seek a proven leader with the following attributes:

Job Requirements

· A minimum of a Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline. Professional education and certifications lean manufacturing concepts, Kaizen, Toyota Production System or Six Sigma are highly prized but not required.

· Leadership success in a metals production environment, with rolling (cold or hot) or casting experience.

· Able to demonstrate multiple examples of implementation and ongoing success in improving manufacturing discipline in a union environment.

· Proven ability to implement process and productivity improvements in a union environment.

· Demonstrated team building success.

· Strong knowledge of and success in the implementation of lean manufacturing concepts and ideals.

· Proven ability to incite positive action and renewed enthusiasm for the organization, the product and their customers throughout their teams, at both the labor and management level.

The five key responsibilities for this position are:

· Responsible for all production activities and process efficiencies within their unit. Monitor and control production parameters in order to satisfy requirements established by customers.

· Ensure that a progressive culture of shared accountability and empowerment, along with trust, is developed within the business unit.

· Responsible for the quality of product by managing the manufacturing process in order to meet customer requirements and to produce the product efficiently.

· In collaboration with the manufacturing excellence team, lead CI projects and implement a manufacturing excellence culture within the business unit.

· Demonstrate a strong commitment to an integrated approach to EHS and maintain an active safety program in order to sustain a safe place to work.
